1. Do you own your own Home?
2. If you do not own your own home, then do you have permission to have a dog at your rental house?
3. A German Shepherd is a large dog, can you afford to house him/her and feed him/her?
4. German Shepherds need exercise, can you provide this?
5. Can you provide your dog with vet visits for regular checkups, vaccinations, and emergency visits?
6. Do you plan on breeding your dog?
7. If yes, then are you prepared to take extra care of the dam,and her pups? Are you prepared to find the right homes for them?
8. If you do not plan on breeding, then are you going to spay/neuter?
9. German Shepherds can live a life up to 12 years sometimes longer, sometimes shorter, are you prepared to care this long for you new dog?
10. Do you have a proper place to keep your German Shepherd out of harms way?
If you can answer yes to almost of these questions, then you are ready for a puppy!
